Somehow we are in Week 12 of the NFL season. And somehow the Houston Texans defense dominated Josh Allen and the Bills last night. We missed our Cook prop but dominated the NBA from Wednesday’s newsletter.

We have our full NFL card below, as well as picks from the NBA, NHL and college football.

Make sure you listen to the Betting with Bearman podcast this week as we have the NFL covered from with a special guest, Pat Mayo from The Pat Mayo experience.

Also, upgrade at the current $99/year plan as you don’t want to miss weekly NFL and CFB week picks in the fall. One $99 price (or $9.99/month) will get you every single newsletter unlocked, all our trends and picks and access to me of course.

New York Giants at Detroit Lions (-10, 50.5)

Nothing we saw last Sunday night made us feel good about the Lions, but it was on the road, outdoors in windy elements that, frankly, Jared Goff and the Lions don’t do well in, like ever.

But this one is at home, in the dome, and off a loss. One of the more ridiculous and awesome stats I saw two weeks ago applies here. Per Evan Abrams at Action Network. The Lions have won and covered 13 straight games off a loss.

Some notes and trends you consider, some you throw out, and others actually mean something. Basically, the narrative is the Lions, their head coach and their QB do not like to lose and seem to be able to fix things rather quickly. And this one being in the friendly confines of home certainly helps.

In the 3 losses this season prior to last week, Detroit rebounded to: beat the Bears by 31, beat the Bucs by 15 and beat the Commanders by 22. They scored 52, 24, and 44 in those wins.

Plus… the Giants stink. Going from the Eagles defense to the Giants defense is like going from a Ferrari to a Ford Tempo (no offense if you have one). New coach or not, their defense is 29th in yards, 30th in scoring, 30th in rushing and 22nd in passing. Not the recipe for knocking off the Lions, especially a Lions team off a horrible game.

We call this a get-right spot for the Lions and their offense. I don’t love the hook, so no issue paying the 25 cents for -10, but I think they win by a lot more, so 10.5 is ok as well.
Lions -10 (-125)
