NFL Week 14 Action

Welcome to the home stretch of the season as we are now in Week 14. We lost our prop last night as George Pickens decided to have an off night, but we have plenty more to play below.

As a reminder, the first pick below is in front of the pay wall, but the rest of the card (3 more games), including prop picks (8 props), all CFB championship action, NBA and NHL games, are all one click (and $10) away.

NFL Main Side/Total Plays (including primetime games): 24-27-1 (47.1%)

Cincinnati Bengals at Buffalo Bills (-5.5, 53.5)

No, I am not hopping on the Bengals bus just yet. They are still 4-8. Could they win the division over the Steelers and Ravens? Yes, but that’s not what this bet is about. This is too many points for the Bills to lay to the Joe Burrow-led offense that just put up 32 (with settling for 6 FGs) on a Ravens defense that had been great over the last month.

The Bengals had 8 scoring drives in the game and failures in the red zone will happen when your QB hasn’t played in 2 months. A few plays here and there and Burrow’s first game back is in the 40s.

The Bills did go to Pittsburgh and beat a not so good Steelers team, but they didn’t look great doing so, with Josh Allen somehow only throwing for 123 yards on the worst pass defense in the league. He gets another bad defense in the Bengals, but they did look different against the Ravens last week. Buffalo does have one of the best offenses in football, but they’ve also been held to under 400 yards in each of the last two games and in three of the last four games.

I do expect Buffalo to win as they are the better team, but the Bengals should be able to keep it close and if the Bengals defense should falter as it has many times in the past, the offense should be able to keep us in this one.

This is also a good spot for Burrow as he’s 18-3 ATS in his career, covering the spread by 6.5 PPG, when an underdog of 3+ points.
Bengals +5.5
