Happy Friday and welcome to the NFL postseason. One of the best weekends of the season is here with 6 Wild Card games, 2 on Saturday, 3 on Sunday and then MNF with Texans-Steelers.

We have our full NFL card and preview of tonight’s CFP semifinal in Atlanta.

Make sure you listen to the Betting with Bearman podcast this week as we had the one and only Chris “The Bear” Fallica on to break down the CFP semis and national title.

Also, upgrade at the current $99/year plan as you don’t want to miss weekly NFL and CFB week picks in the fall. One $99 price (or $9.99/month) will get you every single newsletter unlocked, all our trends and picks and access to me of course.

Wild Card Weekend

The regular season has come and gone, leaving us with 14 teams fighting for the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Who is your pick to win it all? If you want a preview piece, check out what I wrote at Prize Picks here.

On to the games. As a reminder, the first pick below is in front of the pay wall, but the rest of the card, including prop picks, all CFB semifinal action, NBA and NHL games, are all one click (and $10) away.

NFL Main Side/Total Plays: 35-40-2 (46.8%)
- Sides: 20-18-2
- Totals: 15-22
Main Props (including primetime games): 92-60 (60.5%)
Total: 127-100-2 (55.9%)

Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots (3.5, 46.5)

  • 7 of last 8 Chargers games didn't get to 47 and the two before that were exactly 47. The one that did go higher (51) was vs Cowboys, one of the top offenses with one of the worst defenses.

  • Patriots do rank among 2nd in scoring but those points were scored against some of the worst defenses in football in the Dolphins (x2), Jets (x2), Ravens, Giants and even the Bills (x2), who have a terrible rush defense.

  • Chargers are 9th in scoring defense and 5th in total defense.

  • Meanwhile, quietly, while Drake Maye and the offense get the attention, the Patriots are 4th in scoring defense and 8th in total defense. Yes, vs. the same weak defense, but the new pieces are vastly improved from earlier this season.

  • Chargers OL issues continue to hamper the offense, which is 21st, averaging 21.6 per game.
