Happy Friday! If you thought we were excited about College Football starting in Ireland last Saturday, well, check out this weekend’s slate. The official Week 1 board has three matchups of top 10 teams, starting with the blockbuster 1 vs 3 matchup in Columbus between the defending national champion Buckeyes and top-ranked Texas and Arch Manning. We also have a lot of highly ranked teams as huge favorites and we found one we don’t think will win by as much as the oddsmakers think.

This also marks the last weekend without NFL action until late January, so make sure you tell your family how much you love them.

As we gear up for football season to start, make sure to check out the Betting with Bearman podcasts, on the Bleav podcast network, which broke down all 8 NFL divisions and previewed all of the Week 1 CFB action with Joe DeLeone.

Make sure to upgrade at the current $99/year plan as you don’t want to miss weekly NFL and CFB week picks in the fall. One $99 price (or $9.99/month) will get you every single newsletter unlocked, all our trends and picks and access to me of course.

For those that didn’t get a chance to upgrade on Wednesday, we put all 32 NFL win total selections back in to today’s newsletter, so enjoy!

College Football Week 1 Weekend Action

We already saw the first upset of a ranked team on Thursday night as South Florida crushed 25th-ranked Boise State. In Monday’s early look, we questioned the big line on the road to start the season, but didn’t think it would be that easy. We had Nebraska (-6.5) last night and the late Cincy TD sunk us, but time to bounce back.

Let’s see what else we like on the board for the weekend. A reminder to check out the Betting with Bearman podcast with Joe DeLeone right here.

1 Texas at 3 Ohio State (-1.5, 47.5), Noon Saturday

Might as well start off with the big one. I said in the early look on Monday that top-ranked Texas has everything in place this year and is catching 3 Ohio State early enough in their reloading after departures from last year’s title team.

Arch Manning steps right into Steve Sarkisian’s offense, but he got plenty of reps last year behind Quinn Ewers, so it is nothing new. Just his show now. The one weakness for a loaded Longhorns team is it’s O-Line which sent 4 guys to the NFL. But the Buckeyes lost as much on the defensive line and also will be replacing both RBs, QB Will Howard, OC Chip Kelly and WR Emeka Egbuka.

I might feel a lot differently about this one if it was played in November, or say, January? I’ve been fooled before by Texas, but after back-to-back semifinal appearances, this very well may be the season. The Buckeyes absolutely can win this at home and they don’t rebuilt, they reload, but Texas has a returning roster than can win it all, starting in Columbus.
