What an awesome start to Week 4 as we hit the Trey Benson prop early in the 3rd quarter and then capped the night with a +645 Same Game Parlay win with late Jaxon Smith-Njigba magic. He had 0 targets at half and goes over the alt-line 70 yards to set up the game winning FG, which kept it under the total. Puts us up a nice 7.5 units to start the week.

We enter a GREAT sports betting weekend, with Week 4 NFL action, Week 5 CFB games featuring road tests for multiple top 5 teams, MLB final weekend, and the Ryder Cup, which I will be attending on Saturday.

I wanted to do a Ryder Cup preview, but the timing didn’t work out with when pairing were announced. Was too late for Wednesday newsletter and golf has already tee’d off this morning. Follow on Twitter/X for what I do as Ryder Cup continues.

Make sure you listen to the Betting with Bearman podcast this week as we have the NFL and CFB covered from head to toe with a special guest, VSiN’s Matt Youmans, who loves college football betting and thinks some top teams are on upset alert this week.

Also, upgrade at the current $99/year plan as you don’t want to miss weekly NFL and CFB week picks in the fall. One $99 price (or $9.99/month) will get you every single newsletter unlocked, all our trends and picks and access to me of course.

NFL Week 4 Action

NFL Main Side/Total Plays (including primetime games): 8-5-1
- Sides: 4-2-1
- Totals: 4-3
Main Props (including primetime games): 17-9 (6-3 last week and 1-0 on TNF)

We got off to a BIG start this week, hitting the SGP and Benson prop on Thursday night. Now we continue with a play on the early game overseas on Sunday.

Minnesota Vikings (-2.5, 40.5) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers in Ireland

The Steelers are two plays away from 0-3 and complete panic in Pittsburgh. But as Mike Tomlin’s teams tend to do early in the season, they find a way to win. But the Vikings are a step up in class from the Patriots and Jets and should have no problem in Ireland vs. Pittsburgh.

It doesn’t seem to matter who is at QB or RB for Kevin O’Connell’s offense as they can roll with anyone back there as we saw vs. Cincinnati this past week. There were some early bumps in the road with rookie QB J.J. McCarthy, but O'Connell dusted off Carson Wentz and Jordan Mason stepped in for Aaron Jones and the team put up 34 offensive points.

But we also shouldn't discount what the Vikings defense has done through three weeks. Sixth in total yards (271.3 PG), 3rd in pass defense (141.3 PG) and 9th in scoring defense (18.7 PG) against three good offenses in Chicago, Atlanta and Cincy (though minus Burrow).

As noted above, the Steelers have not played like a 2-1 team, but we said that all the way through their 8-2 start last year. Tomlin gets the most out of them. The offense is 30th in total yards, 31st in rushing offense and 24th in passing offense. The defense isn't much better, 28th in total yards allowed, 27th in rushing and 26th in passing. The positive has been the TO battle, in which the Steelers are +5, tied for first in the league, with most of those coming last week with the Patriots turning it over 5 times.

Of the 16 teams with a winning record so far, the Steelers rank 13th or worse in points, points allowed, yards, yards allowed, time of possession, offensive EPA and Defensive EPA.

Vikings are the much better team here in the neutral site of Ireland.

Vikings -2.5
