Happy Thursday everyone!, We delayed the normal Wednesday newsletter as none of the 49ers props for the TNF game were up yet due to injury concerns. Now that we have most of the props up, we can go ahead and give our some thoughts and picks for our Thursday Night Football card, featuring the Niners and Rams, as well as our Same Game Parlay, props and plays for the book promos that are offered.

We also take a look at our Futures portfolio and give a Week 5 Trend to Watch.

Make sure you listen to the Betting with Bearman podcast this week as we Joe DeLeon, from the Ruffino and Joe show on to preview all the big games in college football this weekend, including the big Miami-FSU tilt in Tallahassee.

And upgrade at the current $99/year plan as you don’t want to miss weekly NFL and CFB week picks this fall. One $99 price (or $9.99/month) will get you every single newsletter unlocked, all our trends and picks and access to me of course.

Let’s get to it!

Niners-Rams on Thursday Night Football

San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Rams (-6.5, 46.5)

Anyone who has read this column since we started talking NFL futures over the summer knows that I am all first team Rams. I took them to win the division over the Niners and also have them to win the NFC.

Well, this is the game we need, vs. the Niners at home. The Opening Line of -3.5 would’ve interested me if I got on it Sunday night, but now at -8.5 due to Brock Purdy being out, as well as most of their WRs, well, that’s a tough sell.

As we like to do in the primetime windows, we are hitting the prop market.

Christian McCaffrey o6.5 receptions (-130 at DraftKings)

This prop/juice is going to continue to go up as WR Ricky Pearsall (knee) and WR Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs) are both out and someone has to catch passes for the Niners. Not only that, but QB Brock Purdy is not playing either.

In four games this season, McCaffrey has 9, 6, 10, and 6 receptions, which, under normal circumstances, would make this a 50-50 prop. But as noted above, two WRs are out for San Fran, leaving a WR room of Demarcus Robinson, Kendrick Bourne, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Skyy Moore, and Russell Gage.

In the two games that back QB Mac Jones has already filled in for Purdy (Week 2 and 3), CMC had 22 targets and 16 receptions. Those WRs we mentioned above? Combined for 12 targets and 10 catches from Jones. I am sure he will try to spread it around, but the easy dump off is there as well.
